On 10th December 2024, in memory of Shri Awadhesh Kumar Gupta, his wife, Smt. Saroj Gupta, distributed pillows at Dada Dadi Ashram under the leadership of Shri Hariom Sharma ji, in association with the International Sanatan Art and Archaeology Trust. The president of the Trust, Dr. Shuchi Gupta, appealed to everyone to come forward and serve the elderly in society.

Dr. Shuchi Gupta is a distinguished historian and cultural researcher with a profound commitment to uncovering and preserving India’s rich history, heritage, and culture. Her interdisciplinary approach bridges the past with the present through scholarly research, impactful teaching, and creative endeavors.

Professional Achievements:

  • Directed the acclaimed documentary Who Am I, chronicling the life of Prof. Maurits Hassan Khan. The film was showcased at prestigious platforms, including the Indian Embassy in Suriname, NAMO TV, and ICC Indo-Caribbean events.
  • Esteemed Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society and Member of the Royal Historical Society, London.
  • Active Member of the Heritage Expert Committee, Heritage Foundation, Maharashtra.
  • Reviewer for the influential publication Ramayan: Footprints in South-East Asian Culture and Heritage by Anita Bose and panelist at the Digital Museum, London.

Research Contributions:

  • Recognized as the first historian to analyze the Soundrya Prasadika (Mathura Art) and Didarganj Yakshi, focusing on intricate jewelry design.
  • Delivered expert lectures on diverse topics, including the Sindhu Saraswati Civilization, Indian Emigration during the British Raj, and Women’s Historiography.
  • Convened and contributed to international seminars addressing Indian emigration and historical craftsmanship.

  • Recipient of prominent accolades such as the Matrika Visharad Samman (2023), Sarojini Naidu Samman (2023), and Sri Rama Samman (2022) for outstanding contributions to history and culture.
